Thankful to see First Thing Every Morning Movie and it's free donut day at Dunkin Donuts!

 So many reasons to be thankful today! It's a rainy day which make it a great day to have a nice hot cup of coffee or a relaxing cup of tea. I drink coffee in the morning and then enjoy tea the rest of the day. I love ending my day with a relaxing cup of tea before bedtime. It is a simple pleasure. Here is what I am thankful for today!

  1.  Congratulations to Liz on her last official day of High School. I'm so happy she will be starting a new chapter in her life. She is looking forward to attending Columbia College Chicago in the fall to study film making. Her movie "Sweet?" is featured in the popular post section of the blog! View to celebrate with her today!
  2. Thankful to Dunkin Donuts this morning. I walked into the store and ordered my french vanilla iced coffee. Decided to try a new summer donut called key lime. I love key lime pie and thought I would try it. They rang up my sale and I noticed they did not charge for the donut. It's FREE donut day today at Dunkin donuts! So go enjoy a donut. 
  3. Wishing Kavita a happy birthday today! She is an amazing 16 year old and we look forward to celebrating with her today. Also a belated birthday to her sister Monesha who turned 21. Monesha is a beautiful chic fabulous kind person.
  4. I was thankful to see this video this morning which I found from a link on another blog this morning. Viewing it is a great way to start your day happy! Enjoy!!!!

Create a Sharing Thanks Journal with someone to cultivate a Grateful Heart

    I am very thankful for this very special Christmas gift given to me by my daughter Liz. She made me a Sharing Thanks Journal. I love her heart design and the picture of us she printed to adorn the inside of this very special journal. The best gift of all was that we used the journal together to practice gratitude. She wrote the first entry listing four things she was thankful for and passed the journal back to me. We use the journal to share what we are thankful for. It has helped me practice gratitude and has helped me and my daughter connect on a deeper level. It is wonderful to have a dialogue where we share our blessings. I love writing my thanks and sharing what brings me joy. It could be a beautiful sunset, or a kind smile a stranger gave me. I love learning about what my daughter is thankful for. Thankful for Chihuly's impressionistic water reflections at New York Botanical Gardens

I love sharing beautiful spaces with fellow friends who appreciate the impact of art fused with nature. So thankful to my friend Liz who invited me to go see the current Chihuly exhibit at the New York Botanical Gardens. I loved how Chihuly's pieces enhanced the beauty of the main greenhouse exhibits. We were blessed with a crisp fall day with blue skies. I took this video to capture the wave of colors undulating that looked like painter's brush strokes in the water. Below is the glass work that made these beautiful reflections. If you live in the New York area I recommend you go to the New York Botanical Gardens to enjoy this artist's brilliant work. The NYBG also has some fun fall displays. My friend and I enjoyed posing with pumpkin man.
