Sharing thanks for Best dog Vines of 2013

Image
I am a dog lover! Seeing this short compilation of cute dog vines made me smile. If you enjoy this please share a smile with someone. I am always thankful for a chuckle or a smile. I loved the dog whose best friend is a hairless cat! Here is what I am thankful for today. I am thankful for safe travels that brought my two girls home from college. Thank you Mega Bus, whose bus from Pittsburgh was almost an hour early. Thanks to Jet Blue. They wisely cancelled the flight from Chicago on Saturday. They rescheduled Liz for a flight home on Sunday. I recently watched Loved Actually which opens and closes with families and friends reuniting at airports. There is a special magic when you reunite with loved ones. Thanks to Dr. Cornell who did my Mom's hip surgery. The nursing staff at the Hospital for Special Surgeries is phenomenal. My mom is happy to get a new hip and is on the road to recover. Thanks to the nice folks my dad and I met yesterday while waiting for my Mom to be out

Let's Go Duck's! We have been having some beautiful Spring weather out on Long Island. Last Saturday we headed out to see a minor-league baseball game for some family fun. I love being outside and watching a sporting event live. Here is what I was thankful for. Thankful to enjoy a beautiful evening outside with my daughter Liz and her friend Kavita! Happy that the ticket prices for the game are $10 - $12. Every seat in this small stadium is a good one! Love that the parking is free as well. Thankful to see a few people in our section have the thrill of catching a foul ball. This may be a lesson in life that there is a silver lining to a mistake. Let's face it a foul ball is a strike and when a fan catches a foul ball it is a small miracle for them. They have a huge grin on their face and they leave the stadium with a happy memory and a souvenir. Thankful for the amazing Grucci Fireworks after the game. It was a clear night and the fireworks were dazzling!  I love th

Smile chair at Norman Levy Preserve, January 7, 2012 When I was at Norman Levy Preserve yesterday, I took this picture of the smile chair. It is a wooden sculpture in the shape of smile and it sits on top of the hill at Norman Levy Preserve. If you sit in it you have the most gorgeous view of the bay. It also offers philosophy. The chair is inscribed, "Smile, the universe is vast and time is eternal." I am dedicating my post to beautiful smiles today. When you see someone with a bright smile it is hard not to smile yourself. 1) Thanks to my daughter's math tutor Karina. She has a beautiful smile and cheerfully helps my daughter with learning geometry. Her smile is contagious. 2) Thanks to Monesha. We had fun browsing at Barnes and Nobles today. She has a wonderful smile. She just got her braces off a few months ago! 3) Thanks to my daughter Liz who was smiling and laughing trying to cheer up some family friends! She has two dimples, that light up when she smiles.
