Sharing thanks for Zumba.

Thanks for my Zumba Crew bracelet.

My friend Stella invited me to a Zumba class yesterday. I had so much fun dancing to such happy music. I've been enjoying the last few days before the new school year starts! Today was a beautiful sunny top ten day!
Here are my thanks for today.

  1. Thankful to take Joanne's Zumba class at Imagine in Dix Hills. Her high energy smile and great choice of music made the class a lot of fun. It was a free trial first class and I am definitely going back. I love the dance exercise! It makes me feel young and I love the rhythms. She even gave me this cool bracelet. Thanks Stella for inviting me.
  2. I am grateful for the will power I am using to lose some weight! I've been cooking dinner every night and loading up on vegetables and fruits that I love. I lost 3 pounds last week.
  3. Thanks to my friend Margaret who walked 4 miles with me the other night. A walk at night with a friend is a wonderful way to end a day. I love these cooler nights, the azure sky, and seeing the glimmer of stars.
  4. Thanks to my Mom who sent me a cool cd by Martha Gallagher a singer, songwriter and harper called Ebb & Flow. Looking forward to listening to some harp music. There is something magical about the sound of a harp. I was lucky to play an orchestra piece that had two harpists!
I invite you to share something in the comments that you are thankful for!

  1. I have not posted in a while but it's not because I an not grateful, just trying to process some very positive changes going on. My son (who has high functioning autism) attended a music program in Saratoga. It is a difficult program to be accepted. This is the first time he was away. Jeff did better than I could have imagined, he made friends and people were respectful of his great abilities and his disability was not an issue to anyone there. It was hard for me to "let go". I am so thankful for my wonderful friends Linda and Marjorie who have walked in my shoes and listened without judgement. I was also thankful that my friends Margaret and Linda and their kids came to see my son Jeff's last concert where he got an award for his achievments. I don't know what lies ahead but am thankful for what is possible. I never imagined Jeff would have come so far.
