I am loving watching all the gardens in neighborhood start to bloom. I've seen pansies, tulips, jonquils, daffodils, magnolia tress. The world is bursting with beautiful colors and floral fragrances permeate the air. Enjoyed a walking meditation breathing in all of spring. I am thankful I am not an allergy sufferer.
I am thankful for all the kindnesses I have received recently! I'm feeling so supported and loved. It is easy to list my gratitudes today!
  1. Thanks to my parents! Congratulations to them for getting a new car. I was so surprised when they called me and told me they want to gift our family there old car. We have 4 drivers and 2 cars so this extra car will really help us all get where we are going a little easier. My daughters are so excited!
  2. I am thankful for my daughter Becky who celebrated her 21st birthday this week. Where did the time go! I am proud of her and the young woman she has become! She is a fun, intelligent, kind, busy, creative, responsible young lady. Wishing her lots of love, laughter, and adventure in her life!
  3. I am thankful that my younger daughter Liz has decided where she is going to start college in the fall! She wants to be a freshman at Columbia College in Chicago. I am so excited for her to start this new creative chapter in her life! As you can guess from an earlier post I loved our trip to Chicago and look forward to visiting and getting her settled in there!
  4. I am thankful for water, after all I am an Aquarius so it kind of goes with the territory. Loved seeing these colorful watering cans at Hick's. I love looking at the ocean, bubbling brooks and streams. Water is life giving! It quenches our thirst, it gives us life everyday. Is there anything better than a delicious cold glass of ice water! I really do not know why I order diet coke sometimes when water is free, available and reviving! I hope I can be like water and let my love flow over everything I come into contact with.

    I am thankful for a sunny, glorious day in Las Vegas. I am thankful to have a job in a tough economy. I am thankful to the true blue select few who stand by me no matter what!

Create a Sharing Thanks Journal with someone to cultivate a Grateful Heart

    I am very thankful for this very special Christmas gift given to me by my daughter Liz. She made me a Sharing Thanks Journal. I love her heart design and the picture of us she printed to adorn the inside of this very special journal. The best gift of all was that we used the journal together to practice gratitude. She wrote the first entry listing four things she was thankful for and passed the journal back to me. We use the journal to share what we are thankful for. It has helped me practice gratitude and has helped me and my daughter connect on a deeper level. It is wonderful to have a dialogue where we share our blessings. I love writing my thanks and sharing what brings me joy. It could be a beautiful sunset, or a kind smile a stranger gave me. I love learning about what my daughter is thankful for. Thankful for Chihuly's impressionistic water reflections at New York Botanical Gardens

I love sharing beautiful spaces with fellow friends who appreciate the impact of art fused with nature. So thankful to my friend Liz who invited me to go see the current Chihuly exhibit at the New York Botanical Gardens. I loved how Chihuly's pieces enhanced the beauty of the main greenhouse exhibits. We were blessed with a crisp fall day with blue skies. I took this video to capture the wave of colors undulating that looked like painter's brush strokes in the water. Below is the glass work that made these beautiful reflections. If you live in the New York area I recommend you go to the New York Botanical Gardens to enjoy this artist's brilliant work. The NYBG also has some fun fall displays. My friend and I enjoyed posing with pumpkin man.
