Sharing thanks for Bass Jazz notes in Central Park and going to the midnight show to see Avengers!

Bass jazz notes in Central Park
One of the things I love about Central Park in New York City is the unexpected surprises that you see. Last Saturday I was able to visit the park while my daughter was at the photo studio. I loved seeing and hearing this bass player who decided to practice jazz outside near the pond. There is so much wonder around us everyday if we just take the time to look and appreciate our surroundings. Here are my thanks for yesterday.

  1. I was happy to be asked to go see the midnight opening of, "The Avengers." with my daughters. My daughter Becky who is 20 said that its so much fun to see the midnight show because the audience is pumped about the movie. I have to admit I may have been one of the oldest people in the audience! It was a great movie with a fun script and good performances by Robert Downey Jr., Scarlet Johansson, Samuel L. Jackson and Mark Ruffalo was great as the Hulk. I enjoyed sharing this experience with Liz and Becky and recommend this fun action movie!
  2. I am thankful to see my daughters developing a better relationship. I always wished I had a sister growing up. I am lucky to have two great brothers! Tom and Steve!
  3. Thankful that Liz got to have a sleepover with one of her good friends, Christina!
  4. I am thankful that my cold is getting better, and that I am not coughing as much. I love when I am healthy!
I invite you to share something unexpected you saw that brought you a moment of joy! Have a great weekend everyone.

  1. I went with my husband to buy new fish for our pond. Watching the newbies swim with the older ones was hypnotic. I forgot everything that was worrying me. I am very thankful to hear my son did very well at Manhattan School of Music on all his examinations. My husband was thankful to speak to his teachers and hear they have high aspirations for him in the future. I am thankful things will now be more relaxed in our house. I am especially thankful my good friend Linda is feeling better and can enjoy her lovely girls.
