Sharing thanks for good friends and family
Birthday flowers from my husband, February 11, 2012
I'm lucky to be still enjoying celebrating my birthday thanks to good friends and family. Got in late last night from a celebration with my good friends Stella and Margaret. We have a tradition of having a girls night out for our birthdays. We grew up together and know each other since we are 10 years old. I count myself lucky to have friends from childhood. We know each other inside and out. We share a rich history together of many cups of tea and adventures. Here are my thanks for today.
1) Thanks to my husband Spencer for bringing me home flowers on my birthday. He had a roller hockey game and his team won!

2) Thanks to my dear friend Stella, who gave me this beautiful bag for my birthday. It is a perfect gift for me, and its even better knowing that a donation was made to St. Judes Children's Hospital. Stella has been very supportive of my blog! It was a perfect gift!
3) Thanks to my good friend Margaret, who drove last night for our girls night out. She knows how much I enjoy soaking in the tub and gave me a nice candle, and some other cool things for the bath. Margaret and Stella treated me to massage at a spa. The spa is next door to a new exercise club. We had a relaxing massage to some crazy energizing disco music. I loved the counterpoint and it made me giggle. We always have so much fun on our girls nights out.
4) I am very thankful for my sister-in-law Laurie who got my mother-in-law transferred to a better rehab facility. She truly is a miracle worker.
I invite you to share what you are thankful for in the comments. I love reading what gives others a moment of joy.

So thankful to have such a good time with my friends on Fri. My son Jeff had a wonderful performance at Manhattan School of Music Sat. He amazes me with his talent and drive to never give up. He teaches me so much!
ReplyDeleteSo proud of Jeff. It is great to see how his love for classical music is growing. So thankful that his concert was excellent.
DeleteI'm thankful for girlfriends from long ago that I'm still close to. Means so much.
ReplyDeleteHappy belated birthday!
Thanks for the belated birthday wish. It is wonderful to have friends that we have been able to grow with, like a good wine, that gets sweeter with age. Nice to get your comment.
